When Prayer Is The Only Way

Mothers and fathers and families are on my heart more lately. I know by experience that the fiery trials that families walk through can be sad and disheartening. If we haven't been blessed over a lifetime with the hope of Christ and the many crisis situations that life brings these things will take their toll on hearts. All looks hopeless and peaceful resolution is impossible when one has little or no faith in the promises of God. We just have to take life as it comes and hope for the best.

The truth od the matter is that we are without God knowledge which is able to rescue us from our poor choices, personality clashes, division and divorce woes and woundings. Children suffer and parents are helpless and stressed. Emotional damage from such conflicts run through hearts and lives like a ripple effect. This is sad truth, but it's true to life for very, very many. When I know someone who doesn't know Jesus who is suffering from these life afflictions, I pray fervently. I'm aware that some might say "Prayer is not enough, you should do more." I would answer that with..if you seek the Lord and he graces you to do more, by all means, do it. Share your testimony with all who will listen and ask and trust that it will speak to hearts. But if you have no real solution in your hands to help the hurting, know that God is all powerful, all knowing and he accomplishes what the help of man never could imagine. I'm praying now for all I know who are battling family troubles of any kind. I've personally experienced the power of prayer and I know that a man or woman who is engaged in building themselves up in their most holy faith is wise. And their faith is designed to be for the good of very many.

I'm asking God for healings; strength to hearts, new perspectives and changed lives.

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

This is a word about some sad truths, but truths that are a fact of life. It's about a subject that is dear to all of our hearts, relationhips.

Who doesn't desire sweet, pleasant, loving relationships that last? I think it's a need we all have in common. This may surprise some of us, but honestly, there are some individuals and families who have never known what peaceful, loving relationships are.
These people have always been surrounded by strife and often even physical violence.and have learned over time to accept it as normal.

Sadly, these patterns of lifestyles tend to make love appear to be a curse rather than a blessing. Peace is fleeting or absent and we live life as on an emotional roller coaster. In some cases everyday life can be traumatic. I came from a background where we were ignorant of truth and relationships were hurtful and unforgiveness was a way of life. I know it's something many live with. Over the years I've sought the Lord and prayed over it and these are my prayer thoughts.

If we look closely for the truth we will find that the causes are mostly rooted in generational behavior handed down through a bloodline. That's not to say it's actually in the blood, but it's rooted in patterns of responses and learned ability, or lack of it, to handle life in it's imperfections. Division is seen as a problem solver and it becomes a way of life. When one is raised in a "war zone" they are deeply effected. I say as an example, it really is a lot like "Monkey see, monkey do". We find that we are unable to consistently love and show kindness to those we love the most. The way we do life has been written on hearts and minds. The way role models dealt with things is the way we have learned. There is little or no hope for these people to overcome the emotional battle scars and learned behavior responses that have been etched deeply into their hearts over a lifetime. When I say no hope I mean in the natural order of life.

But there is good news over old life patterns. We can be transformed and ushered into new life patterns. The heart can be healed and the mind renewed. Jesus died to live within and change our hearts and lives.

Only He can take the wrong and make it right. If we remain willing to receive his love and instruction we can become overcomers. We can change the life stories of the generations coming behind us. The soul anchored in the hope of the Lord is well kept and satisfied always! The issues of soulish patterns that keep us from purity in God will be healed to the uttermost by Holy Spirit. He will be your glory and the lifter of your head!

Yielded Vessels

Over the years I've watched and prayed and sought to learn from the Lord and from his anointed ones and even his servants. I have not yet accomplished all that perfectly but I have begun to learn some good things about who he is and who he has created me to be. My focus is set on Jesus and on learning to do my part wherever he wants me. I've watched and learned from some leaders both what it's good to do and also what it's not good to do. Both from scripture and from modern day leaders. Like we can learn a lot from King David's life, King Solomon's life and Abraham's life. And we can look around us and see modern day ministers we can learn a lot from also. We can choose according to our intimacy with the Lord who is trustworthy to follow and who is not. We can seek wisdom and ask understanding to resist being influenced by any who could lead us in any wrong direction. I'm reminded often that Jesus said that many will fall by our side but that it shall not come near us. I hold fast to that promise. I've seen some fall and I've seen some get back up. I never want to fall, so I draw close to the strong and righteous anointed ones as much as I know how. I try hard to walk in love and peace and avoid arguments and debate about who's good and who's bad, and I know well that sin in leadership is not pleasing to God. And he will deal with it. But I do hold fast to all that God has revealed to me personally as to how to deal with my part that he has given me. I ask that he would make me a friend to all he is friend to. I daily ask a new and fresh love for friends I love dearly who see things differently than I do. We're all our way somewhere with the Lord and it will be a much sweeter and more prosperous journey if we get firmly locked in with the Holy Spirit and learn how to do things His way. He invites us to be yoked to Him and to learn from Him. He will take us to places we do not desire to go and then He will make us to delight in them. And we will be exceedingly glad and we will rejoice in the journey.

I Have A Dream

I don't know about you, but I do a lot of dreaming and trying to figure life out. I think some might say this is a waste of time, "They" might say there are better things to do than to read the bible , pray and daydream. But I'm learning that "They" do not always know what "They" are talking about. Even though some may have good intentions, they do not understand well those who belong to Jesus. Many must be covered in mercies. I do that and then I dream on.

Have you done any dreaming lately, my friend? I have and My heart loves it. But I've shared my dream with some and found all do not see what I see. I've been thinking on one great dreamer and being astounded at what this one man accomplished by doing what many of "Them" laughed at and even hated. Some hated him to the point of death. How sad!

But what a hero he is to many today. We've heard so much about the wonderful speech given by Dr King, "I Have A Dream".

It has of late occurred to me that "God Has A Dream" also. He dreams of "a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells". I think we can all see now that the dream Mr King had was a small seed planted in many hearts by God which is still producing many fruit bearing trees of righteousness in the earth.

It gives me courage to say "Why not our dreams?".. We who are children of the New Covenant of grace and mercy are destined to be equipped to labor with Jesus Christ to fulfill the dreams he died for. Through His Holy Spirit we're invited to rise up in such a way that we might see His dream become reality in our earth. We are yoked to Christ and our priorities and order come through the Holy Spirit. First in our heart and house, then in the church house, then in the school house, then in the corporate house and then in the White House. A Christ centered life in process, purpose and progression. New heavens, the righteousness of redeemed saints. Seed sowers, planting, wateringg and bringing heaven into the earth realm. Living out the covenant, celebrating the cross and it's blood wonders and the love and righteousness of God. Through perseverance our labor with the Holy Spirit will, over time, produce and demonstrate our Father's great dream becoming reality in our land.

My heart and life are set to do my part to advance the truth and kingdom love of the Lord Jesus Christ....We are to occupy the land we are assigned to until He comes. And not to turn to the right or to the left away from what he has assigned us to do. We're not vagabonds, we are orderly and bonded to other yokefellows who seek new life and blood wonders. Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Let earth receive her King. Peace on earth, goodwill to all men..

Daniel 2:44
And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
